( votes)Eligibility: –To be considered for the Talisman MSc Scholarship you will need to have applied to the University of Aberdeen for a place on one of the eligible MSc degree programmes starting in September 2013. To be awarded the Talisman MSc Scholarship you must receive and then firmly accept an unconditional offer of a place on one of the eligible MSc degree programmes at the University of Aberdeen.
-Those who are awaiting degree results and therefore hold a conditional offer of a place can also be considered and will be asked to provide a copy of their degree certificate before the award is confirmed.
-Only applicants domiciled in the UK and classified as paying Home Fees OR applicants normally domiciled in the UK but temporarily living outside the UK and classified as paying Home Fees OR citizens of the European Union domiciled in the European Union are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of EU countries can apply for this scholarship.

Talisman Energy (UK) Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Talisman Energy Inc; a large, independent, oil and gas company, headquartered in Calgary, Canada. In the UK, Talisman is the fourth largest producer of oil and the second largest operator by number of oil fields. Talisman Energy (UK) Limited is offering one Talisman MSc Scholarship.

What does it cover? The scholarship is valued at £15,000 for the one year duration of the MSc degree course. This will cover UK/EU postgraduate tuition fees, and will provide a maintenance stipend.
Selection criteria: The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement and demonstration of personal characteristics.
Notification: Students will be told whether or not their application has been successful by email no later than 23 August 2013. If their application has been successful the award will be subject to their admission to the University.
