2013 CBCF General Mills Health Scholarship for Undergraduate and Graduate Students, USA

General Mills and Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) provide CBCF General Mills Health USA Scholarship. Scholarships are offered for students of Congressional Black Caucus districts who plan to continue their education in the fields of medicine, engineering, technology, nutrition or another health-related field. This scholarship is for pursuing undergraduate and graduate degree level. Students must be full-time or be a current full-time student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university. Students must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and be enrolled at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. The students of USA (African-American) are eligible to apply. 43 awards will be granted each year of value $2,500.

Eligibility: To be eligible for a CBCF General Mills Health Scholarship, applicants must:
-Be preparing to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree full-time or be a current full-time student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university
-Be planning to pursue a degree in the fields of medicine, engineering, technology, nutrition, or other health-related studies at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
-Have a minimum 2.75 GPA
-Exhibit leadership ability and participate in community service activities.
-Live in a Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) district.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: The students of USA (African-American) can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: General Mills and Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF)General Mills in partnership with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) provides scholarships for students who live in the Congressional Black Caucus districts who plan to continue their education in the fields of medicine, engineering, technology, nutrition or another health-related field and have financial need. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

Number of awards offered: Up to 43 awards will be granted each year.

Duration of award(s): Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

What does it cover? Recipients will receive a $2,500 award.

Selection Criteria: Scholarship finalists are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.
