University of Aberdeen is offering a number of PhD Positionsfor applicants of any nationality. The studentships are awarded in the fields of Arts and Social Sciences, Life Sciences and Medicine and Physical Sciences. To be eligible for an Elphstone Scholarship applicant need to have the equivalent to a UK 1st class Honours undergraduate degree or an Upper Second (2.1) Honours undergraduate degree alongside a Masters with Merit or Distinction. The application deadline is 30th April 2015.

Life Sciences and Medicine: – Applied Health Sciences, Biological and Environmental Sciences, Medical Sciences, Nutrition and Health, Psychology. Physical Sciences: – Archaeology, Chemistry, Computing Science, Engineering, Geography, Geology/Petroleum Geology, Math’s, Physics.

Eligibility:  Eligibility for an Elphinstone award is based on academic excellence. Applicants must have the equivalent to a UK 1st class or an Upper Second (2.1) Honours undergraduate degree and/or a Masters with Commendation/Merit or Distinction.

Open for International Students: Applicants of any nationality are eligible to apply for these endowments.
