Applications are invited for Sam Walton community scholarship available for associates who have earned a high school/home school diploma or a GED. This is available to graduating high school senior for a certificate program (undergraduate or graduate), Associate, Bachelors and Graduate degree program in the USA.

The maximum award amount for the Walmart Associate award is $16,000 over a period of six years or until the degree or certificate that the study was awarded for has been attained, whichever comes first.

Eligibility:

Associates must meet all of the following criteria:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident of the United States.
• The program is awarded in all disciplines.
• Must be employed part-time or full-time with any division of Walmart for at least six consecutive months prior to the application due date for the award period in which the associate is applying.
• Must have graduated high school/home school or obtained a GED or be a graduating high school senior who intends to enroll in a college or university upon graduation.
• If applying as a graduating high school senior, must wait to apply until you are within 6 months of starting your college courses.
• Applicants must be employed part-time or full-time with any division of Walmart for at least six consecutive months prior to the application due date for the award period in which the associate is applying.
• Must have financial need and be able to demonstrate the need with required documents.

How to Apply

• How to Apply: In addition to submitting the online application, the associate must send all required supporting documents to free study America’s Coralville office for receipt by the appropriate application due date.
• Supporting Documents: To apply, students must be ready to submit a copy of your most recent federal tax return.
• Admission Requirements: To apply for the program applicants must have a previous degree.
• Language Requirement: Applicants have a good working knowledge of both written and spoken English.

Benefit:

The maximum award amount for the Walmart Associate award is $16,000 over a period of 6 years. Funding Limits per Walmart Fiscal Year (Feb.1–Jan. 31) as follows:

• Certificate Program (undergraduate or graduate): Up to $1,500 within a single Walmart Fiscal Year
• Associate Degree: Up to $2,000 within a single Walmart Fiscal Year
• Bachelor’s Degree: Up to $3,000 within a single Walmart Fiscal Year
• Graduate Degree: Up to $2,000 within a single Walmart Fiscal Year
