About This Course

This course is just one of a series about ‘innovation’. Applicants can sign up to the other courses in this series through the Going to University collection. The course introduces a case study showing how Marks & Spencer has been a key innovator in fashion, introducing new fabrics that make our lives easier and more comfortable. Applicants will see how M&S continues to drive innovation to bring consumers new and better products. They will also consider their own clothing and its innovation story, producing and sharing with other learners their research and findings on how a favourite item of clothing is the result of innovative developments in the industry.

Why Take This Course?

Throughout the course applicants will join a community of online learners, providing an opportunity for interactive learning with other students both in the UK and internationally. The course is designed to provide evidence for UCAS applications and prepare you for university.

Learning Outcomes

In this course, applicants will explore the rich and diverse range of information available to them online, how to use search tools effectively, and the ways in which students can begin to assess information that they might want to use in their studies. Using a wide range of learning activities, applicants will be challenged to dig deeper and think critically about the information that they find online.
