Students who want to take part in a scheme of collaborative research, are invited by the Centre of African Studies of the University of London to apply for the A.G. Leventis Postdoctoral International Fellowships for the academic year 2023-2024.

The applications for the fellowship can be made by Nigerian academics/scholars working up a PhD thesis into publishable form. The selected students can expect to get an opportunity to spend 10-weeks in order to pursue their research in libraries and archives.

  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • A complete curriculum vitae (maximum two pages)
  • A statement of current research interests (of not more than 1,000 words) specifying the aims to be achieved during the research period in London
  • One academic reference letter supporting the application
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must be scholars working up a PhD thesis into publishable form.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.5
  • PTE – 65
  • TOEFL PBT – 583
  • TOEFL IBT – 93
