Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Program is available for Indian students at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR).

The summer training program at AcSIR provides an opportunity to spend summers working at premier research Laboratories of CSIR with some of the leading scientists in India, in an environment which promotes trans-disciplinary research. The program is supported/ funded by AcSIR through its AcSIR-Kalam Fellowship.

Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) is a research academy created by an Act of Indian Parliament to be an institute of national importance. It functions across 37 national laboratories and 6 centres of Council and Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) offering the postgraduate and doctoral degree.

• Course Level: Programme is available to spend summers working at premier research Laboratories of CSIR with some of the leading scientists in India, in an environment which promotes trans-disciplinary research.
• Study Subject: Faculty-wise courses being offered at AcSIR (as approved in 15th meeting of the Senate, AcSIR held on Aug 7, 2015).
• List of Subjects: Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Mathematical & Information Sciences.
• Scholarship Award: Amount of fellowship: Rs. 25000/- per student for the duration of two months. (payable after successful completion of the training program and submission of project report to the Laboratory Coordinator)
  -Travel allowance to the selected student: Reimbursable to a maximum of Rs. 5000 per selected student
• Scholarship can be taken in India

Eligibility: 

• First-year of M.Sc program or equivalent: minimum first-class at pre-M.Sc degree level
• Third to pre-final year of Integrated M.Sc program or equivalent: GPA 6.0 on a scale of 10 (up to IV Sem)
• First-year of M.E/M.Tech program or equivalent: GPA 8.0 on a scale of 10 OR GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10 for CFTIs at B.E/B. Tech level or GATE Score600 or NET (Engineering) Rank from 1 to 100
• Third-year of B.E/ B.Tech program or equivalent: GPA 8.0 on a scale of 10 OR GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10 for CFTIs (up to IV Sem)
• Third to pre-final year of Integrated M.E/M. Tech program or equivalent: GPA 8.0 on a scale of 10 OR GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10 for CFTIs (up to IV Sem) or GATE Score 600 or NET (Engineering) Rank from 1 to 100

Nationality: Applicants from India are eligible to apply for this programme.

• College Admission Requirement: Applicants must be minimum first-class at B.Sc level for 1^st year of 2-year M.Sc program.  
  
• For the Admission Process, the student needs to follow two phases:

• Complete Application form Fill-up process
• In the Registration phase, once applicants successfully register their self, they will be receiving auto email on their email-id with login credentials and link to be re-directed for further complete admission form fill-up process with unique Registration Number.
• Application form fill-up process is divided into three steps:

• Confirmation Step
• Print Acknowledgement of Admission Receipt with Unique Form Number
