- Eligible Countries: Applications are accepted from all around the world
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: Postgraduate applicants to the full-time MSc Accounting and Finance and MSc International Accounting and Finance are eligible for this opportunity.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must international students (those who pay international course fees.) EU students are also welcome to apply for this scholarship.
How to Apply
- How to Apply: To apply for this scholarship, you will need to hold an offer for the MSc Accounting and Finance or MSc International Accounting and Finance program starting in September 2019. Submit a short personal statement to support your award application. Your personal statement should explain why you are a suitable candidate for this grant and can be submitted online.
- Supporting Documents: Short personal statement (no more than 500 words), an official academic transcript, with official English translation, of your university grades to date.
- Admission Requirements: Student with accounting background (academic or work experience), can consider the MSc International Accounting and Finance course.
- Language Requirement: Students whose native language is not English also need to satisfy our English language requirements.
Benefits: The University will provide £3,000 and £5,000 for programs of study commencing in the academic year 2020/21.

I am Saikou Danso, I am a Gambian citizen from West Africa. I am 29 years of age born on 4th May, 1990. I am married. I graduated from the University of The Gambia in 2016 where I studied Accountancy for four(4) years to get my bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
I am applying for Masters degree in Accounting and Finance at Aston University in UK. I have been working with our Supreme Audit Institution since 2016 to date. I am a Public Sector Auditor in auditing all governments institutions on a yearly basis and send all the reports to the National Assembly of The Gambia for their settings and for them to come up with resolutions or take actions in the implementation of the audit recommendations in the reports. I am optimistic with Masters in Accounting and Finance will help me developing my career and building my capacities to promote Accountability and Transparency in the public sector of my country and I can also contribute to good governance in the management of public funds.
