With a optimism to rank UAE and Dubai in the vanguard of medical and science innovation, Al Jalila Foundation has recently announced to disburse around Dh4 million for 2015-16 scholarship program to study medical and health science in UAE.

The scholarship program is only open for all eligible and deserving Emirati students who are looking forward to pursue postgraduate degree in health and medical science in UAE in the coming academic session 2015-16.

Al Jalila Foundation is globally acclaimed for its philanthropic role in transforming the lives of students through scholarship programs that allow them to pursue medical studies with ease. The foundation encourages Emirati medical students to participate in medical and health science studies with its exceptional scholarship programs.

Dr. Abdul Kareem Al Olama, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation said, “This year we look forward to receiving applications covering an even wider range of specialties that will help broaden the UAE’s medical capabilities, so that it can continue to offer its citizens world-class health care in line with UAE Vision 2021”.

The statement of Dr. Olama clearly indicates that this year the foundation is expecting to receive scholarship applications for a variety of specialties in the field of medical science to enhance UAE’s healthcare system, so that the citizens can experience world class healthcare in line.

The scholarship program was introduced with an objective to offer financial support to all aspiring Emirati medical students to specialize in any medical domain, while helping them to hone their skills and credentials in medical sector.

Till date, the foundation has successfully awarded 19 scholarships to aspiring medical students to pursue postgraduate medical studies in different medical specialties including, public health, dentistry and nursing at any medical institutions across UAE. However, the educational costs of first two recipients of this scholarship will be funded by Al Jalila Foundation and they will graduate from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Dubai later this year.
