Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) scholarships are awarded to students of exceptional research potential undertaking a higher degree by research (HDR) in 2007.
APA’s are provided to assist with general living costs.

Maximum number awarded:
The CUPS pays a minimum living allowance of $19,616pa which is tax-free and indexed annually. Also included is a relocation, applicable to recipient who have relocated from another Australian state to take up the CUPS at Curtin and a thesis allowance of up to $750.
An Australian higher education institution to undertake a full time Master’s by Research or Doctoral degree.
- be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen; or
- be an Australian Permanent Resident; and
- have completed four years of higher education studies at a high level of achievement;
- hold or expect to obtain, First Class Honours or equivalent results;
- be enrolled in or accepted to enrol in a Higher Degree by Research as a full-time student in 2007.
