The Australian Pain Society (APS) is a Multidisciplinary Society whose charter is to improve the education, research and development, diagnosis and treatment of all forms of pain. The Australian Pain Relief Association (APRA) is a registered charity with the Australian Taxation Office and works closely with the APS to support education and research in pain.
The Australian Pain Society and the Australian Pain Relief Association have awarded seven 3-year PhD Scholarships over the last ten years. Two Scholarships will be offered for 2008-2010 with one being sponsored by Mundipharma Australia and the other being sponsored by Janssen-Cilag Australia & New Zealand.

The stipend for these Scholarships is AU$23,000 per annum and in addition APS and APRA will provide financial support enabling the candidate to attend the Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting.
