Applications are currently being accepted for the 3 Bachelor degree programmes in Sociology and Social Informatics, Management and Political Science programs at National Research University – Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg. All international students seeking English-taught undergraduate education are encouraged to apply. Tuition-free scholarships are awarded to highly qualified applicants.

How to apply:
To apply for a scholarship, please fill out the standard HSE online application form and indicate that you wish to be considered for a scholarship (tuition-free). In your application, you may apply to two programs.

Scholarship details:
Sociology and Social Informatics:
The first in Russia to train sociologists of the new digital generation, this program prepares specialists with the skills they need for gathering and processing data using the most up-to-date technology and methodology. The program includes not only general and specific sociological disciplines, but also mathematics and computer science, giving students the opportunity to gain programming and information systems skills.
Students gain practical experience through internships at HSE laboratories and at companies, working on projects involving online marketing, web analytics, video game development, and online advertisements. Exchanges are also available through HSE’s many international partner universities.

Management:
The Bachelor in Management program prepares students with the in-depth interdisciplinary knowledge and practical skills they will need to make reasonable and confident decisions in various spheres of international business. Two tracks are offered, in international business and business analytics, and a focus is placed on specific regional factors in Europe and Asia. Students have the opportunity to participate in internships, research, and exchanges.
Internships with companies such as Danone, Nissan, Citibank, Philip Morris, Bosch-Siemens, Baltika, KPMG, EMC, EY, Deloitte, McKinsey, and other international companies.
Semester exchanges are available with program partners including Lancaster University (UK), LMU (Germany), Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria), Audencia Nantes School of Management (France), and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (Germany).

Political Science:
This program trains students with specific skills that are necessary for careers in politics and international relations. Bridging political science, public policy, international relations, and project management, the program includes the following key topics: contemporary political systems and global economy; how to develop relations between governments, international organizations, global businesses, and other actors; how political decisions and policies are made and can be influenced. Starting in the program’s second year, students study a second language, either German or Chinese, and focus on a specific region: Northern Europe, Southeast Asia, or BRICS.

Exchanges are available with partner universities including the Masaryk University (Czech Republic), Institut d’études politiques d’Aix-en-Provence, Paris School of International Affairs (Sciences Po) (France), Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli in Rome (Italy), and other leading universities in Germany, China, South Korea, Finland, and other countries.
