Baillie Gifford Prize Fellowship is open for applicants of all nationalities at the India Institute, King’s College London. Mid-career professionals are particularly encouraged to apply for this fellowship. The Fellowship provides full financial support to a student on the MRes Contemporary India programme. The Fellowship, worth up to £30,000, will cover the tuition fees of the successful candidate, in addition to providing a stipend to cover living costs. The application deadline is 10 December 2015.

Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for the Baillie Gifford Prize Fellowship at the India Institute, King’s College London. The Fellowship provides full financial support to a student on the MRes Contemporary India programme. The Baillie Gifford Prize Fellowship supports the Institute’s goals of enhancing the quality of public knowledge and debate in, and about, contemporary India. The MRes Contemporary India is a research-track Master’s degree that imparts advanced training to support a student in producing an original piece of research under expert supervision. Core areas of interest at the King’s India Institute include: Politics, Public Policy and Political Economy; Anthropology and Social Change; History; Cultural Production (including the media); Foreign and Security Policy; Science, Technology and Policy in India.
