Scholarship Description: Inspired by the potential of young people today, The Expert Editor has established an annual scholarship to be awarded to a student in Australia with initiative, ambition and lofty idealism. Today’s student generation have great potential to be agents of change. They’ve grown up with the Internet and mobile connectivity, meaning that they have unparalleled access to information and the ability to connect with others around the globe. Cynics who doubt the ability of a single young person to be truly transformative ignore recent history, from Mark Zuckerberg to Australia’s own Stella Young. The aim of the scholarship is to reward students who are restless with the status quo. An annual award of $1500 doesn’t place us in the big league of corporate philanthropy, but it does make a small contribution to help a young Australian be a trail blazer.
