Dalhousie University A.S. Mowat Prize for International Students in Canada

To recognize outstanding achievements by a master’s student at Dalhousie University, the university has decided to award them the A.S. Mowat Prize. The prize will be awarded towards study for the academic year 2023-2024. 

The scholarship application can be made by all interested international and candidate national students who have undertaken a master’s degree program in a discipline of their choice at Dalhousie University.  The one-time prize money is valued at $1,500.

  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Any desired master’s degree program offered at Dalhousie University. 
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Candidates must be enrolled in the first year of a master’s program at Dalhousie University as of the application deadline.

  • How to Apply: Admission applications must be made via the university portal. Students interested to participate in the scholarship program must submit an online scholarship application

  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have a completion of secondary school (Grade 12), the minimum overall average required for your program of interest in five academic Grade 12 courses and a qualifying final grade in Grade 12 academic English and any other required subject. 
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL IBT – 92 
  • IELTS – 7.0 
  • MET – C1 Level 64 
  • CAEL – 70 
  • PTE – 65 

Benefits

The successful winner of the A.S. Mowat Prize will be provided an award amount of $1,500 as a one-time payment by Dalhousie University.
