Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

EU and Non-EU citizens are eligible to apply for the Doctor of Education (EdD) programme in Digital Learning Area of Professional Focus. Applicants are required to hold or have held a position involving managerial responsibility for at least four years (pre- or post-masters).To be eligible for this program, yo must have to hold the second class or higher Master’s degree (or equivalent) in education or a specific discipline area appropriate for one of the Areas of Professional Focus.

How to Apply

  • How to apply: To be considered for one of these funds, a student is required to gain admission in the Ph.D. degree at the DCU Institute of Education. After being a part of this university, you will be eligible to submit an online application for the bursary.
  • Supporting Documents: Students must have to submit the draft 1500 word proposal addressing the following issues: a broad outline of the area of the research the candidate would like to pursue, a rationale for choosing this area and the likely benefits that might accrue from it, the nature of the candidate’s experience relevant to this research and complete an expression of interest.
  • Admission Requirements: For admission in PhD coursework, you need to have the graduate and postgraduate degree certificates.
  • Language Requirement: If you are applying for admission, you need to provide evidence of English language skills.

Benefits

Each bursary will cover 50% payment of EdD programme registration fees for the first two years of the programme.
