The University of Auckland offers up to three Dean’s Asian Scholarships to undergraduate students. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, and financial need to pursue a study of commerce and property degree.

The main purpose of the Asian scholarships is to support Asian international undergraduate students to complete a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Property degree at the University of Auckland Business School.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following area for these scholarships:

  • Eligible Nationality: Asian applicants can apply for these scholarships. The countries in Asia covered by this Scholarship are: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen
  • Course Level:  These scholarships are available to pursue an undergraduate degree.
  • Study Subject: These scholarships are awarded in the Faculty of Business and Economics.
  • Up to three Scholarships will be awarded for a period of up to three years and will cover the full tuition fees for international students who enrol full-time in a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Property at the University of Auckland Business School
  • The Scholarships will be awarded to international undergraduate students from any country on the Asian continent.
  • The basis of selection will be academic merit in the most recent year of secondary school education or in university-level studies undertaken to date, demonstrated financial need and demonstrated potential to succeed in business studies at university.
  • To continue to hold the Scholarship, recipients must maintain a GPA of 5.00 (equivalent to a B average) in each semester of study.
  • The Scholarships will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of a Selection.
