This fellowship is an exclusive establishment for students belonging to a FEBS country. Candidates who want to be considered must apply and undertake a role in a laboratory in a different FEBS country from that in which they are normally working. The selected candidates can expect a fellowship award amount of €3,500.

The Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS), founded on 1^st January, 1964, is one of Europe’s largest organizations in the molecular life sciences. It is a charitable academic organization promoting and supporting biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, molecular biophysics, and related research areas through its journals, Congress, Advanced Courses, Fellowships, and other initiatives.

The Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) provides a voice to a large part of the academic research and teaching community in Europe and beyond through its Constituent Societies. It helps in conducting scientific exchange and cooperation between scientists working in different countries, and on promotion of the training of early-career scientists.

• The applicants must be members of a FEBS Constituent Society.
• The applicants must apply to work in a laboratory in an academic institution in a different FEBS country from that in which they are normally working.

• Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
• A short descript of the work
• A short curriculum vitae
• A host acceptance from the appointed head of the host institute or department, countersigned by the head of the research group
• A referee’s letter
• Admission Requirements: The applicants must meet the entry requirements of the laboratory they wish to join.
• Language Requirement: The students must have knowledge of the English language as it is likely to be the medium of instruction in most labs.
