Providers’ Details

Cornell University, a world renowned and diverse Ivy League institution, is a community of scholars known for intellectual rigor and engaged in deep and broad research, teaching tomorrow’s thought leaders to think otherwise, care for others, and create and disseminate knowledge with a public purpose.

About This Course

The focus will be on understanding what’s under the blackbox so as to move beyond garbage-in, garbage-out. Students will practice using a common solution approach to problems involving different physics: structural mechanics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.

Why Take This Course?

This course teaches fundamental concepts and tool use in an integrated fashion using the power of online learning. All learners will have access to a free download of ANSYS Student.

Learning Outcomes

  • Big ideas in finite-element analysis and computational fluid dynamics
  • Structural mechanics simulations using ANSYS Mechanical™
