University of Leicester is inviting applications for a fully-funded PhD studentship in comparative politics in the Department of Politics and International Relations. This studentship will pay full-time University UK/EU tuition fees for three years and include an annual stipend of £14,057. The successful applicant will also have access to a Research Training Support Grant worth £750 each year to help cover costs associated with their research work. Eligibility:
-First class or upper second class undergraduate degree or an equivalent overseas qualification in a relevant subject (or show evidence of achieving this by September 2015)
-It is expected that applicants will also hold a Masters degree in a relevant subject (or show evidence of achieving this by September 2015)
-Standard English language requirements-Available to suitable UK/EU and International (i.e., outside the EU) applicants – please note though that the award covers tuition fees at the UK/EU rate only; international applicants (and those not eligible to pay UK/EU tuition fees) must demonstrate at the time of their application that they can fund the difference in tuition fee rates
-Available for full-time registration only
-Available to new applicants only – i.e., existing PhD students are not eligible for this studentship
-Applicants must be able to start in September 2015
