 How to Apply

Applications for the scholarship are now open!

  • How to Apply: Applicants must have applied for admission online via the Postgraduate Applications Portal to the eligible postgraduate programs. After receiving an admission offer, applicants can submit the GREAT Kenya Scholarship application.
  • Supporting Documents: Along with the application, applicants must submit all the following:
  • Academic transcript
  • Reference
  • Personal statement
  • Evidence of English Language proficiency (if applicable).
  • A copy of the passport
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet all the entry requirements for their chosen program.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not their first language, they must meet the English language requirements. Students applying to a postgraduate program are not required to take an English language test like IELTS as long as the bachelor’s degree is taught and examined in English.


Edinburgh Napier University will provide £10,000 GREAT Scholarships for a Kenyan student. The scholarship can only be used towards tuition fees.
