IAL Research Grants for Doctoral Candidates in Singapore, 2014

Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) is offering up to 6 research grants for Singaporean citizens. Each grant valued at $100,000 will be offered to outstanding candidates already enrolled in a doctoral programme at a local or overseas university. The Grant is intended to support the candidate during the research and thesis writing phase of the programme, for the duration of up to 3 years. Applicant’s approved research thesis must be relevant to the Singapore context of workforce development or Continuous Education and Training (CET). The application deadline is 28th February, 2014.

Eligibility: –Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen;
-Applicant must be already accepted into a Doctoral Programme and be enrolled as a doctoral candidate (i.e. successfully obtained university’s approval of doctoral thesis);
-Applicant must have at least five years of related work experience up to enrolment into the Doctoral programme;
-Applicant’s approved research thesis must be relevant to the Singapore context of workforce development or Continuous Education and Training (CET).

Scholarship Description: IAL is offering Research Grants to Singapore Citizens pursuing Doctoral Studies that are related to Singapore’s Continuing Education and Training (CET) sector as part of its commitment to develop deep knowledge and research expertise on the local CET Sector. Up to 6 grant awards each valued at $100,000 will be offered to outstanding candidates already enrolled in a doctoral programme at a local/overseas university. The Grant is intended to support the candidate during the research and thesis writing phase of the programme, for the duration of up to 3 years.
