The study program is open for both domestic and international applicants who want to pursue a PhD degree program at the university.

Eligibility

• Eligible Countries: Students from Denmark and other foreign countries are both eligible to apply.
• Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for a PhD programme at the Department of Computer Science’s Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen.
• Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the regular PhD programme, you must have completed a degree programme, equivalent to a Danish master’s degree (180 ECTS/3 FTE BSc + 120 ECTS/2 FTE MSc) related to the subject area of the project, e.g. Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering. How to Apply

• How to Apply: Admission applications must be submitted via the university portal. Interested students must submit a separate fellowship application form.
• Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
• A motivation letter providing a brief account of why you want to conduct research, your academic interests and how they relate to your previous studies and future goals (max. 350 words).
• Curriculum vitae including information about your education, experience, language skills and other skills relevant for the position
• Original diplomas for Bachelor of Science or Master of Science and transcript of records in the original language, including an authorized English translation if issued in another language than English or Danish. If not completed, a certified/signed copy of a recent transcript of records or a written statement from the institution or supervisor is accepted.
• Publication list (if relevant).
• Admission Requirements: Before taking admission, applicants must have a master’s degree from a recognized university.
• Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
• IELTS – 6.5
• TOEFL IBT – 83
• CAE/CPE – Passed
