PhD Scholarship in Intelligent Electrochemistry

About

This project aims to develop an integrated approach to intelligence collection and analysis of large electrochemical data sets in a machine-learning and Bayesian inference environment. This will allow for the first time to globally model and quantitatively parameterize all aspects of the dynamic electrochemistry associated with exceptionally complex electrochemical reactions in a statistically significant framework. The project will address problems of biological and chemical significance, with the end goal of producing a commercially viable, user-friendly instrumentation package.

Eligibility

Essential

  • H1 or equivalent or research-focused Master’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent research capability and writing skills, ideally evidenced by publications.
  • Capacity to work independently and in a team
  • Knowledge in electrochemistry

Desirable

  • Programming skills
  • Knowledge and experience in machine learning and statistics, such as Bayesian inference
