Applications for the ‘Scholarship for Women in Data Science’ are available for the 2023/24 academic year. The University of Liverpool is pleased to announce the International Women’s Day Health and Life Sciences, Data Science Re-training Scholarship.

The IWD Scholarship scheme, funded by the Computational Biology Facility, is open for international students who identify as women. The selected women will be awarded access to all CBF professional courses for five years.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for the master’s degree program in Data Science at the Computational Biology Facility (CBF).
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Anyone who identifies as a woman looking to re-train in data science/bioinformatics and/or has had a career break in the last three years.
  • Women applying will have a background equivalent to a master’s level and an interest in bioscience/biomedical sciences.
  • Women from low socio-economic backgrounds, from global majority backgrounds, and those that identify as living with a disability and/or carers will be prioritized for the award.
