IT Programming Scholarships for South African Women, 2017

The Women in IT organization awards are available exclusively for women from South Africa to study in the field of Information and Communication Technology.

The aim of the scholarships is to encourage young women to choose a career in ICT.

The Women in IT organization was created with the mission to promote and support Women in IT. The programmes support women already working in ICT.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to study programming using the very successful SSIR online school, for Grades 10, 11 and 12.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Information and Communication Technology.

Scholarship Award: Successful applicants will be enrolled in the IEB curriculum and learn Java programming – IITPSA will cover the cost of tuition and textbooks. Successful applicants who are based in Cape Town will also be sponsored to attend the Code4CT Coding School (www.code4ct.com) during the July holidays.

Numbers of Scholarships: Three scholarships are available.

Scholarship can be taken in South Africa

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must be Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 students.

Nationality: South African girls can apply for these scholarships.
