The SAKURA program, established in 2003, is jointly managed and funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), the Minist?re des Affaires Strang? res in France (MAE), and the Ministry de l’Education Nationale, l’Enseignement Superieur et de la Recherche. The program aims to generate international networks between promising young researchers.
It supports the establishment of innovative Japanese-French scientific collaborations led by young researchers between higher educational establishments or research organizations in Japan and France. Long-established collaborations will not, in principle, receive the highest priority.
