Oxford Brookes University is offering John Henry Brookes Taught Postgraduate Scholarships for UK, EU and international students. Scholarships are available for full-time master’s degree courses and will be made towards the cost of the full-time tuition fee for students starting their programme in September 2016.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the following guidelines:
-Applicant must have been offered a place on a master’s course at Oxford Brookes University, i.e. a course leading to an MA, MSc, MBA or LLM. Applicant must be a new master’s student starting their course in September 2016.
-The scholarship scheme is normally open to UK, EU and International students unless otherwise stated.
-They should have, or expect to obtain, a good honours degree or equivalent from a recognised institution of higher education, or have experience which demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skills at honours degree standard.
-The scholarship is only open to students undertaking a master’s degree for the first time. Students who have previously studied a master’s degree will not be eligible.
-Candidates receiving awards from other sources of funding which cover all their tuition fees will not be eligible for a John Henry Brookes Taught Postgraduate Scholarship; eligibility is not affected by funding covering maintenance costs.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement:
The postgraduate taught-The normal entry requirement for a master’s course is an honours degree, a postgraduate diploma or an equivalent professional qualification.
Postgraduate research-For MPhil: The minimum entry requirement for the degree of MPhil or MPhil with transfer to PhD is a first-class or upper second-class UK honours degree or equivalent qualification. For PhD: The normal entry requirement for the degree of PhD is a master’s degree in a discipline which is appropriate to the proposed research and which has included research training and a research project.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: Applicants should hold IELTS score (The normal minimum requirement for 6 or 6.5 depending on the programme).

Postgraduate Scholarships

Supporting Material: In addition to the application for the scholarship, the applicant must submit the following documents:
-All the documents they send to the Home Office must be original paper documents. Emails, photocopies, scans and faxes are all unacceptable.
-If any of their documents are not in English then in addition to sending the original document they must also include an original official translation that has been signed and dated by an authorised translator and includes their contact details and credentials and a confirmation that it is an accurate translation of the original document.
-The applicant will need to send originals of all educational qualifications/course certificates listed on their CAS used to assess their ability to study. Evidence of English Language (UKCISA)
-If applicants need to register with the police they will need to send their Police Registration Certificate. If they have not yet received their certificate after registering contact ISAT.
-Their current passport and their any old passports that they have used to travel to the UK. Their Biometrics Residence Permit (visa ID card) if they have one.
-2 photos not more than one-month-old with their full name on the back of each photo. Make sure their photos meet the Photo Guidance

How to Apply: Applications should be emailed or posted to the address stated on the forms or online for all applicants to the Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment.
