Through the generous donations of companies like Gibson Instruments, students have been awarded for their talents in music creation and promotion. This scholarship is meant for students of current or future attending students of US colleges/universities. Students who are aspiring song writers or have goals set around a career in music.
Graduates of the John Lennon Scholarship have gone on to have successful careers in the music industry.
