Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation BK Scholarships in Germany, 2016

Applications are invited for Konrad Adenauer scholarships from Palestinians students. Scholarships are available for students who intend to complete master or postgraduate studies, doctoral studies at a university in Germany. The scholarship covers Master or PhD studies for up to two or three years in Germany. The scholarship amounts to a monthly stipend of € 750 for master or postgraduate students and € 920 for PhD students. The application deadline is October 1, 2015.

Study Subject(s): The scholarship covers all subjects of study, except teaching certificates and preliminary medical examinations (the scholarship will only fund medical students that have passed their preliminary examination or country equivalent.)

-Applicants must able to provide evidence of above average academic performance
-Applicants should have a broad general education and distinct interest in political issues
-Applicants should have a positive attitude towards democracy and human rights
-Applicants should be actively engaged in voluntary work for the benefit of the people and the society in Palestine.
-Applicants should be open to develop their personal points of view and practice tolerance towards those with different beliefs
-Applicants should be highly motivated and be able to convince us with their own plans and potential.
-Applicant should not be older than 32 Years

Scholarship Open for International Students: This Konrad Adenauer scholarship program is available for Palestinian students.

Scholarship Description: The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation BK-Scholarships awards scholarships to Palestinians seeking to continue their graduate education at Universities in Germany only. The scholarship program is aimed at Palestinian students and graduates who have acquired at least an undergraduate university degree in their home country and who intend to complete master or postgraduate studies, doctoral studies at a university in Germany.

What does it cover? The scholarship amounts to a monthly stipend of € 750 for master or postgraduate students and € 920 for PhD students.

Selection Criteria: There will be a preliminary selection based on the above mentioned requirements of scholarship program after which, if successful, you will be invited to an interview at selection conference, which is scheduled for the end of November 2015. During a 30 to 45 minute interview, you have the opportunity to introduce yourself personally to a selection committee. The interview will include questions about your personal and academic career, your planned studies or research in Germany as well as about your motivation and personal values. The final decisions will be taken following the selection conference. Please note that incomplete and late applications will not be accepted.

Notification: There will be a preliminary selection based on the mentioned requirements of scholarship program after which, if successful, student will be invited to an interview at our selection conference, which is scheduled for the end of November 2015.
