The College of Arts, Law and Education at the University of Tasmania is offering a full fee scholarship for 4 years duration. This scholarship is available to a Malaysian student commencing in the Bachelor of Laws (Direct Entry) degree program in Semester 1, 2018.

The University of Tasmania (UTAS) is a public research university primarily located in Tasmania, Australia. Officially founded in 1890, it was the fourth university to be established in Australia, although Christ College, which became affiliated with the university in 1929, was established in 1846 and remains the oldest form of higher education in the country.

Eligibility: Available to an international student from Malaysia who meets the following eligibility criteria:

  • Is a Malaysian citizen;
  • Applies to study a Bachelor of Laws (Direct Entry) (63P1) through an authorised representative agent of the University of Tasmania; commencing in Semester 1, 2018;
  • Has received and accepted an offer for the Bachelor of Laws (Direct Entry) (63P1) commencing Semester 1, 2018;
  • Has not previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program or its equivalent); and
  • Is not applying for advanced standing/credit.

Nationality: Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: To retain this award, recipients are required to remain enrolled full-time (100% per year) in the Bachelor of Laws (Direct Entry) (63P1) and achieve a Credit (5.0/7.0) cumulative grade point average (CGPA) at the end of each academic year.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
