The Australian Maritime College (AMC) at the University of Tasmania is offering Maritime Engineering Scholarship for students intending to commence study in semester 1, 2017. The scholarships will be awarded annually to female students who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) between 70 and 89.
The aim of the scholarship is to increase female participation in maritime engineering programmes.

The Australian Maritime College (AMC) is a tertiary education institution based in Launceston, Tasmania, established by the Maritime College Act 1978 (Cth). Tertiary education is provided and organised by the University of Tasmania (UTAS) as the Australian Maritime College (AMC) at the University of Tasmania.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing bachelor programme.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship will cover 75% of the first year of the on-campus accommodation costs in a single room at one of the Halls of Residence in Launceston. To be eligible, students must apply for accommodation with University of Tasmania Accommodation Services and cover the application fee and bond (these costs are NOT covered by this scholarship).

Eligibility: Scholarships will be awarded to female students who meet the Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking ATAR 70 or above (OP14 or above) for one of the following programs: Bachelor of Engineering (Marine & Offshore Systems), Bachelor of Engineering (Ocean Engineering) or Bachelor of Engineering (Naval Architecture), and are intending to commence study in semester 1, 2017.
Nationality: Australian students can apply for these scholarships.
How to Apply: There is no requirement to complete an application for these scholarships. However, up until 31 October 2016, you are encouraged to apply online so that you can simultaneously apply for any other relevant scholarships. After 31 October 2016, you will be automatically assessed for this scholarship during the University Admission process.
