Masters Scholarships at University of Chester in UK, 2016-2017

University of Chester is inviting applications for Santander universities funded masters scholarships scheme for the academic year 2016/17.  These scholarships are available to graduates within the UK, Latin America, Portugal or Spain.

The aim of the university is to help students on the basis of academic merit.

The University of Chester is a public university located in the historic city of Chester, England. The university offers a range of foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as undertaking academic research.

Applicants whose first language is not English must have an appropriate level of English proficiency certification.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing full time taught postgraduate programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study any subjects offered by the university.

Scholarship Award: Five master’s scholarships of £5,000 each are available.

Eligibility: To be eligible for a Scholarship, students must:
-have accepted an offer of admission to a one year, full time taught postgraduate programme in any subject;
-on admission to the University of Chester, be a graduate of one of the eligible institutions in the Santander Universities scheme (see below).

Nationality: Graduates of institutions in the Santander Universities network within the UK, Latin America, Portugal or Spain can apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: On admission to the University of Chester applicants must be a graduate of one of the eligible institutions in the Santander Universities scheme

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: Applicants whose first language is not English must have an appropriate level of English proficiency certification. UKVI Approved SELT Tests are:
IELTS: 6.5 (Min 5.5 in each sub-skill)
Trinity College London ISE: ISEII – Pass in all 4 components

Supporting Material: The required components for complete application packet are as follows:-
-Academic record: On admission to the University of Chester applicants must be a graduate of one of the eligible institutions in the Santander Universities scheme
-Other funding: Please provide details of any other sources of funding student have already secured, or applied for, to support their study at the University of Chester
-Personal Statement: Please describe how applicant would benefit from receiving a masters scholarship (maximum 200 words)
