All students admitted on a full-time basis are granted the privilege to complete their master’s or PhD studies with a full scholarship. The awards will offer a 100% free tuition fee and a monthly stipend, accommodation, Health insurance and UAE visa sponsorship for non-UAE nationals.

• Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for MSc and PhD studies in the following subjects offered by MBZUAI
• MSc – Master of Science in Computer Vision, Master of Science in Machine Learning, and Master of Science in Natural Language Processing
• PhD – Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Vision, Doctor of Philosophy in Machine Learning, and Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Language Processing
• Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
• UAE and non-UAE applicants
• MBZUAI accepts applicants from all nationalities who hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mathematics, physics and other relevant science and engineering majors, from a university accredited or recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE).

How to Apply

• How to Apply: To apply for the scholarship program, applicants are required to take admission to MSc or PhD programs through an online application form and provide all required documentation.
• Supporting Documents: A completed application form is always required, which will include information about yourself and your contact details. Applicants also provide additional documentation, such as:
• Referee recommendation: Applicants will be required to nominate referees who can recommend their application. M.Sc. applicants should have a minimum of two referees
• Statement of purpose in an 800-word essay on – explain why you would like to pursue a graduate degree at MBZUAI
• Graduate Record Examination (GRE) – optional
• All applicants are required to submit a CV (with academic background, work experience, research publications, and programming/coding skills), a Valid passport copy, a Photograph with white background, and a Valid Pakistan national identity card copy (only for Pakistan nationals)
• UAE Nationals have required: an Emirates IDPassport copy with the unified ID number. Family book-UAE National Service completion/exemption letter (for UAE National male only)
• UAE residents (living in the UAE) are required a UAE visa and Emirates ID
• Admission Requirements: Applicants must provide their completed degree certificates and transcripts (in English) when submitting their application. Students should have a minimum CGPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
• Language Requirement: Each applicant must show proof of English language ability by providing valid certificate copies of either of the following:
• TOEFL iBT with a minimum total score of 90
• IELTS Academic with a minimum overall score of 6.5
• EmSAT English with a minimum score of 1550
• TOEFL iBT and IELTS academic certificates are valid for two (2) years from the date of the exam while EmSAT results are valid for eighteen (18) months. Only standard versions (i.e. conducted at physical test centres) of the accepted English language proficiency exams will be considered.
