Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants must be a citizen of one of the following countries:
  • Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada (Quebec Province), China, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Great Britain, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Latvia, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Republic of Serbia, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland,  The Netherlands, Taiwan, Turkey, and Ukraine.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded as the following:
  • A full academic year (8 months from October to June) for the following programs: MA/PhD/Post Doctorate/Overseas and International program/Special program.
  • A 3-week Hebrew/Arabic language program scholarship over the summer.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Applicants must hold either a BA or BSc degree (or higher) and a good record of academic achievement.
  • Students must be under 35 years old at the beginning of the academic year.
  • Candidates cannot apply if they are Israeli citizens.
  • Students can only receive a scholarship after being accepted to an academic institute recognized by the Israeli Higher Education Council.
  • Applicants must meet the English language proficiency required by the academic institution where they intend to study or conduct research.
  • If you intend to study or conduct research in Hebrew, you must meet the Hebrew language proficiency required by the academic institute where you intend to study or conduct research.
  • Note: Applicants must receive a type (A2) student visa, which does not permit them to work to be eligible for the scholarship. Applicants can apply for the visa at their local Israeli Embassy or the Ministry of Interior in Israel.

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: Applicants must download the application form and submit three copies of the application form and health form (the originals and 2 copies) to the Israeli embassy in their country of origin. Note: health form must be signed and stamped by a licensed medical practitioner.
  • Supporting Documents: The completed Israel government scholarships application pack (including the application form and the health form).
  • A detailed letter describing your field of study in Israel
  • A letter of acceptance from an Israeli Supervisor
  • Official original academic records: notarized copies of all relevant studies and test scores, academic diplomas, degree certificates, and transcripts of your grade records.
  • At least 2 letters of recommendation
  • Any relevant documents regarding English language proficiency
  • Your curriculum vitae (resume).
  • Three portrait photographs.
  • Note: Applicants must submit original documents or notarized copies that are not in English or Hebrew must be submitted with a notarized translation.
  • Admission Requirements: Contact your local Israeli embassy or consulate in your country of origin to receive the application submission dates and detailed information on the applicant selection process from your country.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must show their proof of language skills, such as TOEFL, GRE, IELTS, and GMAT test results.
