The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce a call for applications for its 2017-2018 Aspire Scholarship. New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident of New Zealand are eligible to apply.
The Aspire grant has been designed for students from low-income families who would like to attend a New Zealand private secondary school.

Eligibility
- New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident of New Zealand are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Students who will be in Year 9, 10 or 11 in 2010, from households that have:
* an annual income of $65,000 or less
* net worth of $150,000 or less.

How to Apply: Applications should be-
- Email completed applications to aspire.scholarship-at-education.govt.nz with the student’s name in the subject line.

Benefit: An Aspire award will cover a student’s private school fees up to $15,000 per year, for each year they are at the private school. Students will also receive a yearly allowance of up to $1,500 for costs such as a uniform and school trips.
