- For study in the USA: The applicant has a valid visa that permits study in the U.S. or is a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder).
- For study in Canada: The applicant has a valid Canadian study permit.

How to Apply
- How to Apply: All eligible students must complete the application form and submit the essay.
- Supporting Documents: Write an essay answer to the following question in 200-500 words: how your cultural background informs your educational journey and/or professional goals, and describe how your graduate degree will help you make an impact in your field.
- Admission Requirements: Applicants must have their visa stamped in their passport by the closing date of the competition.
- Language Requirement: English language skills are required to study in the USA and Canada.

Scholarships are awarded annually to international students, and DACA students enrolled at schools MPOWER supports. Awards are as the following:
