Ph.D. Positions in Electrochemistry (1)

About

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Oslo is looking for three Ph.D. fellows in Electrochemistry. Electrochemistry is a field that draws on many different disciplines, including chemistry, physics, materials science, and electronics. This makes electrochemistry an exciting and unique area for scientific research and a great choice for a career. Electrochemistry is essential for technologies such as hydrogen technology, batteries, and the manufacture of materials for energy storage and renewables. The demand for staff with expertise in electrochemistry is therefore soaring.

The Ph.D. fellowships are affiliated with the MiNimize project, which is funded by the Research Council of Norway and the Norwegian Industry. The project focuses on developing advanced coatings and layers for hydrogen production by alkaline water electrolysis. This work will be carried out in close collaboration with one of the world’s leading companies in the field. The goal of the project is to provide novel technological solutions that enable cutting-edge performance and the economy of resources.

Secondments/stays at research and production facilities in the participating company may be part of the job duties for successful candidates. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, then please visit our website for more information.
