Professor Cullen contributed significantly to water resource management in Australia and NSW. The program is jointly funded by various New South Wales Government Water Agencies, including the Department of Water and Energy, Sydney Catchment Authority, State Water, Hunter Water Corporation and Sydney Water Corporation.

- This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: biological sciences, chemical sciences, earth sciences, economics, information, computing and communication sciences, mathematical sciences, physical sciences, science – general or social sciences, humanities and arts – general
