The Melbourne Graduate School of Education seeks expressions of interest from eligible candidates for a Ph.D. program focusing on the pedagogical affordances in school learning environments. The proposed Ph.D. program will explore the use of technology vis-à-vis other affordances of the learning environments in both primary and secondary schools. The findings of the proposed study will have important implications on the design of school learning environments, teachers’ pedagogical practices, and students’ learning and engagement.
This study focuses on how technology can be used to enhance teaching and learning in school settings. Professionally, this research has important implications for those who design and construct learning spaces and those who teach in them. The study will also provide insights into how students learn and engage in these settings, which can help educators better understand their students’ needs and preferences.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- Satisfy the School’s Ph.D. entry requirements of a grade average over 80% (H1) or equivalent
- Commence in 2022
- Be enrolled full-time
