The University of Greenwich is very excited to welcome students to work on the project titled Transition to adulthood for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) through its Information on Postgraduate Research Scholarship offered for the academic year 2022-2023.
The Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences at the Institute for Lifecourse Development, Centre for Vulnerable Children and Families of the University of Greenwich is offering this scholarship to all international and domestic students who hold a master’s degree in a relevant field of study. The candidates must have excellent organizational skills to be considered. Winners can expect to receive a stipend of £16,062, and a home tuition fee, i.e. £4,596.

- The applicants must have previous experience in undertaking research (e.g. undergraduate or taught master’s dissertation).
- The applicants must have experience working with children, young people and/or families.
- The applicants must have an understanding of ethical issues involved in research with vulnerable young people and their families.

- Two reference letters (one ideally from a dissertation supervisor)
- Admission Requirements: The applicants must have 1st Class or 2nd class, First Division (Upper Second Class) honours degree or a taught master’s degree with a minimum average of 60% in all areas of assessment (the UK or UK equivalent) in a relevant area to the proposed research project (inclusive of but not limited to psychology, social work, education, sociology).
- Language Requirement: The students must submit scores on the following English language proficiency tests:

Benefits
The University of Greenwich will provide the selected candidates with a sum of £16,062 for the first year of study and a stipend in line with the UKRI rate for the next 2 years of study. Additionally, a contribution to tuition fees equivalent to the university’s Home rate, currently £4,596 will also be provided.
