Applicants are invited to apply for Princeton Arts Fellowships, funded in part by Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, David E. Kelley Society of Fellows in the Arts, and the Maurice R. Greenberg Scholarship Fund. This fellowship is available for US and Non-US citizens.

The Lewis Center for the Arts is designed to put the creative and performing arts at the heart of the Princeton experience. This mission is based on the conviction that exposure to the arts, particularly to the experience of producing art, helps each of us to make sense of our lives and the lives of our neighbours.

Scholarship Description:

• Course Level: Applicants should be early-career composers, conductors, musicians, choreographers, visual artists, filmmakers, poets, novelists, playwrights, designers, directors and performance artists–this list is not meant to be exhaustive–who would find it beneficial to spend two years teaching and working in an artistically vibrant university community.
• Study Subject: Artists whose achievements have been recognized as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching.
• Scholarship Award: An $81,000 a year stipend is provided.
• Nationality: This fellowship is available for US and Non-US citizens.

• Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Artists whose achievements have been recognized as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching. Applicants should be early-career composers, conductors, musicians, choreographers, visual artists, filmmakers, poets, novelists, playwrights, designers, directors and performance artists–this list is not meant to be exhaustive–who would find it beneficial to spend two years teaching and working in an artistically vibrant university community. Non-US citizens are welcome to apply. Holders of the PhD degree from Princeton University are not eligible.  This fellowship cannot be used to fund work leading to a PhD or any other advanced degree.
• English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
