The RBC Capital Markets is offering two types of scholarships: Scholarship for Women and the Diversity Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to outstanding Canadian undergraduate business, engineering, and economics students, who are interested in pursuing a career in banking or finance.

RBC Capital Markets is a global investment bank providing services in banking, finance and capital markets to corporations, institutional investors, asset managers and governments globally.

The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.

Scholarship Description:

  • Application Deadline: May 31, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available for full-time undergraduate studies.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded for pursuing a career in banking or finance.
  • Scholarship Award: Each of the Scholarships shall be comprised of a lump sum payment in the amount of CDN $5,000 and a 4-month Analyst position in the Summer of 2019 with RBC Capital Markets in Toronto, Canada.
  • Nationalities: Canadian students are eligible to apply.
  • Number of Scholarships: There are up to four available scholarships for both the Scholarship for Women and the Diversity Scholarship.
  • Scholarship can be taken in Canada

  • Entrance Requirements:
    Scholarship for Women:

    Female students in full-time undergraduate studies graduating in December 2019 or Spring 2020, enrolled in a business, engineering or economics program at a university in Canada
    Available to work full-time May-August 2019
    Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA/80%
    Diverse extra-curricular participation and community involvement
    Canadian Citizens, permanent residents of Canada, or individuals who are legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer until, and including, September 2019
    Diversity Scholarship: Candidate Eligibility
    Anyone who identifies as a visible minority, female, Aboriginal or Indigenous background, LGBT+, Veterans, and/or persons with disabilities
    Students in full-time undergraduate studies graduating in December 2019 or Spring 2020, who are enrolled in a business, engineering or economics program at a university in Canada
    Available to work full-time May-August 2019
    Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA/80%

  • A 300-word personal essay in support of their candidacy, explaining their interest in a career in banking and finance
  • A current, one-page resume
  • Unofficial transcripts of their academic records
