Scholarship Description

  • Applications Deadline: October 29, 2018
  • Course Level: Studentship is available to pursue PhD programme.
  • Study Subject: Studentship is awarded for proposed areas of Research: Cyber Security; User Computing Interaction lab (Rx).
  • Scholarship Award: The project will be 36 months duration, commencing in February 2019. The studentship is funded by Robert Gordon University (RGU) and includes tuition fees (at Home/EU or International level) as well as a tax-free stipend of £14,777 per annum for three years.
  • Nationality: Studentship is available for Home/EU or International students.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Fully-funded PhD Studentship Security of Healthcare Wireless Networks:

Applicants should have (or soon expect to have) a first class Honours degree or a Masters at Distinction level in Wireless Communications, Security, Electronic Engineering, Computing Science or a strongly related discipline. Strong programming skills are highly desirable. Adequate knowledge of Networks, in particular, wireless networks, is also highly desirable. Applicants should have good personal and communication skills, strong professionalism and integrity, have proper motivation and be confident working on their own initiative.

Fully-funded PhD Studentship HCI techniques for Culture Heritage Preservation and Policy Study:

Key Skills

Applicants should have a very good Honours degree or a Masters at Distinction level in Computing Science or related discipline.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong skills in Unity and programming skills on C# for Unity
  • 3D Graphic and user centred design knowledge at the undergraduate level;
  • Knowledge of Point Cloud data and Immersive Technologies;
  • Strong web programming skills on HTML, PHP, Javascript, WebVR library etc.

Desirable requirements

  • Knowledge of BIM solutions;
  • Programming Skills on C++;
