Southeast University, China is offering a scholarship for US students. There are two types of scholarships available i.e. Degree-student scholarship which is offered for students who are degree students for postgraduate programs at SEU and Non-degree student scholarship for exchange students who will study at SEU for 3 months.

Southeast University (SEU) is one of the national key universities administered directly under the Ministry of Education of China. As a centennial prestigious university, it is located near the city center of Nanjing, to the west of the Purple Mountain and the south of Xuanwu Lake.

The scholarship is especially for sponsoring students from the U.S.A. to study at SEU. Degree-student Scholarship: The scholarship is for newly-admitted full-time students with the nationality of the U.S.A., who are degree students for postgraduate programs at SEU.

The application deadline for Degree-student scholarship is April 15, 2013, and for Non-degree student, Scholarship is May 30, 2013.

Eligibility:

The scholarship is for newly-admitted full-time students with the nationality of the U.S.A., who are degree students for postgraduate programs at SEU.

 What does it cover?  Values of Degree-student Scholarship:
-Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, the fee for laboratory experiment, the fee for internship, and fee for basic learning materials; and accommodation fee for dormitory on campus;
-Living allowance;(monthly allowance for master’s degree students is CNY1700; monthly allowance for doctor’s degree students is CNY2000)
-One-off settlement subsidy after registration;
-Fee for outpatient medical service, Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Program for International Students in China;
-One-off inter-city travel subsidy.
Values for Non-degree Students Scholarship:
-Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for laboratory experiment, fee for internship, and fee for basic learning materials; and accommodation fee for dormitory on campus;

-Contact to the university by admission-at-seu.edu.cn to submit other required documents:
-For Degree-student Scholarship: a copy of passport, copy of highest degree certificate, Scholarship Application Form (Which you can produce after you finish the online application), 2 recommendation letters, a research plan no less than 800 words, physical examination report, SEU Application Form.
For Non-degree Student Scholarship: a copy of passport, a document proving the identity of being a current student at a university of the U.S.A. and Scholarship Application Form (Which you can produce after you finish the online application), SEU Application Form.

Scholarship Application Deadline: Application deadline for Degree-student Scholarship is April 15, 2013; the Application deadline for Non-degree Student Scholarship is May 30, 2013.
