Scholarships for BA Translation Students at German Jordanian University in Jordan, 2017-2018

German Jordanian University is accepting applications for BA Translation Scholarships. There are two types of scholarships available: Sur-place Scholarships are primarily granted to Jordanian nationals and Third Country Scholarships are exclusively granted to Non-Jordanian nationals.

German-Jordanian University is a public university in Al Mushaqqar, Jordan. It offers more than 20 programs to about 5,000 students, primarily from Jordan.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing BA programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the fields of Arts.

Scholarship Award: Students can apply for the following types of scholarships.

Sur-place Scholarships are primarily granted to Jordanian nationals and comprise

  • A lump sum that covers (approximately) the study fees at the GJU
  • A monthly allowance to cover the costs of living during the year in Germany
  • A travel allowance for the trip to Germany

Third Country Scholarships are exclusively granted to Non-Jordanian nationals and comprise

  • A lump sum that covers (approximately) the study fees at the GJU
  • A monthly allowance to cover the costs of living for the stay in Jordan
  • A monthly allowance to cover the costs of living for the year in Germany
  • A travel allowance for the trip to Germany

Scholarship can be taken in Jordan

Eligibility: The best applicants will be chosen for a scholarship based on the school GPA, the motivation letter, an interview and an English/Arabic proficiency test.

Nationality: Jordanian and international students can apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous degree.

English Language Requirement: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

How to Apply: In general students who apply for studying in the Translation program can also apply for a scholarship. Applicants should hand in the following documents in one PDF file only:

  • Application Form (SurplaceThird Country)
  • CV
  • Copy of passport
  • Certified Copy of Secondary School Certificate (Tawjihi or equivalent)
  • Letter of Motivation in English

Application Deadline: Application Deadlines for the academic year 2017/2018

  • Surplace Scholarships: June 11, 2017 (selection procedure will take place at the GJU)
  • Third Country Scholarships: June 11, 2017 (selection procedure will take place in the DAAD-office or German embassy of the respective country of residence of the applicant)
