IT Security PhD Scholarship Scheme at London Metropolitan University in UK, 2017

London Metropolitan University is inviting applications for IT Security PhD scholarship scheme. Home/EU and international applicants are eligible.

The Faculty of Life Science and Computing is offering either one full-time or two part-time partially fees waiver only scholarships for the successful applicants. The PhD Scholarship will start Feb 2017.

London Metropolitan University, commonly known as London Met is a public research university in London, England. The University of North London and London Guildhall University merged in 2002 to create the university.

The scholarship is only available for students who are not currently registered for a postgraduate research degree.   Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for the postgraduate research program at London Metropolitan University in the UK.

Study Subject: Applications are invited in the areas of:

  • penetration testing automation
  • identity resolution
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • cryptography
  • steganography

Scholarship Award: A total of £15,000 research grant to part sponsor and contribute towards tuition fees of a successful PhD student (MPhil/PhD). £5,000 per year will be paid towards tuition fees for the duration of three years for a full-time student, subject to successful progression. Alternatively, £2,500 per year will be paid towards tuition fees for the duration of three years for two part-time students, subject to successful progression.

Eligibility: Home/EU and international applicants are eligible. Applicants should not currently be registered for a postgraduate research degree. The following areas of research are offered for PhD scholarships:

Restrictions and exemptions

  • The scholarship is only available for students who are not currently registered for a postgraduate research degree.  All scholarships are subject to regular review through the assessment of successful progression by the relevant Research Student Progress Group (RSPG).

How to Apply: To apply for a PhD Scholarship, please write a five-page research proposal with five to ten references.

Applicants must also:
