-The total tenure of the course is 3 years and the total amount of scholarship allotted is $2,200 per individual t be distributed throughout the tenure.
-The full time students must enroll for a credit of 12 hours and the maximum amount allotted for them is $750 per semester.
-The part time students must enroll for a credit of 6to 11 hours and the maximum amount allotted for them is $500 per semester.
-Benefits include tuition, fees, books as well as other education supplies free of cost.

Scholarship Schemes For High School Seniors

This scholarship is meant for those high school students who have substantial aptitude in math and sciences and are also interested in building their career in energy industry. The scholarship provides financial help to such candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

-You must be a citizen of United States and/or have the authorization to work there on full time basis.
-You must be interested in pursuing engineering in chemical, electrical, civil, mechanical, petroleum engineering or majoring in geophysics, geology, physics, etc and must be interested to get yourself enrolled in the universities/institutions identified by Shell.
-You must clear all the components of Shell Scholarship process starting from the application till the end.

Documents Needed

-You must produce the copy of your high school transcript along with scores of the standard tests.
-Recommendations of your teacher/instructor/advisor (if any).

Few Important Facts

-Shell will sponsor one year scholarship of $2,500 for the meritorious high school seniors and the total number of scholarships is 20 in number.
-If a candidate is successful in completing the one year tenure he/she is eligible to receive a four year scholarship scheme of $5,000 per annum.
-A candidate is eligible to apply for the incentive fund scholarship if he/she is a member of a minority group which is underrepresented in the society such as Black, American Indian, Hispanic/Latino etc. The identification of the ethnicity must be duly attached with the application.

Countries Offering Shell Scholarships

The shell scholarships are also valid for students from several developing countries to study in places like Netherlands and UK known as the Royal Dutch Shell Centenary Scholarships and Shell Centenary Scholarship respectively. There are several universities which work in partnership for the scholarship such as Durham University, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, The University of Edinburgh, University of Leeds, Eindhoven University of Technology, Delft University of Technology, University College London in the UK, The University of Oxford, and University of Twente in the Netherlands. UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office has jointly funded the Shell scholarship for the students which is known as the Shell Centenary Chevening Scholarships.
