The research study should focus on ethnographic research on various religions and their practices in the Mumbai city. Ethnographic field research will pay close attention to the transnational circulation of religious media, plus uses of the internet, which now combines all forms of audio and audiovisual media. The goal is to arrive at a better understanding of how such media practices become part of the lives and aspirations in this challenging urban setting.
