To support talented students in writing poetry of a publishable standard, the University of East Anglia has established the Sonny Mehta Writers Scholarship in the United Kingdom for the academic year 2022-2023.

The University of East Anglia is exclusively offering this scholarship to students from Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and also other international countries to support the cost of an MA in Creative Writing: Prose, Poetry, or Scriptwriting programme. One scholarship worth £28,500 will be awarded.
